COVID-19: Jigawa Ban Women, Children And The Aged From Eid Al Fitr Prayer

Jigawa State Government has banned women and children as well as the aged Eid Al Fitr prayers, and that this year’s that the Eid Al Fitr prayer will only last for thirty minutes; this was disclosed by governor Badaru today while briefing the news men at government house.

 

Badaru explained that after Sallah prayer there would be no Durbar celebration and also urged traditional rulers in the state to abide by rule and regulation to remain at their domain to avoid any gathering in their areas.

 

In the area of COVID-19, he said state has recorded 210 cases of COVID-19 positive which is equivalent to 24 percent of people affected with COVID-19 , the governor said no fewer than 122 people are now isolated at the isolation centres here in Dutse receiving treatment.

 

He that the state has purchased more additional beds that will accommodate the victims of COVID -19 in the state where the state government has 450 beds ready the isolation centres

 

Explaining further, he said that a mobile court was established to deal with lockdown offenders in the state as he said that all offenders whom are arrested by police will be taken to the mobile court to face the court action in order serve as deterrent to others.

 

Badaru further stated that testing center for the diagnosis of COVID -19 will soon be established in the state to ease the treatment of victims of COVID -19 to avoid unnecessary delay.
