Justice P.S. Gang has entered judgment in favour of the headline news communication ventures by ordering all the 17 Local Government councils to pay him the total sum of N12.8 million congratulatory messages adverts of President Muhammadu Buhari, Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong and his Deputy Prof Sunny Tyoden in 2015 adverts.
The publisher of Headline Newspaper, Mr. Sunday S. Sule approached the state high court demanding the defendants to pay the sum of N16, 150,000.00 cost of publication of congratulatory messages in the plaintiff magazine of Oct, 2015 at the rate of N950, 000.00 per LGAs each.
The writ of underfunded list brought in pursuant to order 23 of the high court civil procedure rules 1987 of the Plateau state and Plateau state practice direction.
The plaintiff claims was instituted by a counsel, Barr S. S. Obende claims liquidated money demand as endorsed in the writ of summon and the application was supported by an affidavit deposed by the applicant himself.
According the plaintiff claims, has remained unpaid by the defendants to undertake the demand placed by the plaintiff as attached with exhibits and the 1st defendant is Local Government and chieftaincy affairs ,Association of All Local Government of Nigeria ,ALGON, Chairman Hon Stephen Jing & ors .
However, Justice P. S. Gang in his judgment excluded 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th defendants when plaintiff seeks for cost of 100,000.00 the court decline.
