Court Adjourns Suit Between Salisu Mohammed Against University Of Jos, Nig Army

A Federal High Court sitting in Jos Division has adjourned till 20th July. 2020 for continuation of hearing in a suit filed by salisu Mohammed Musa and 49 others challenging the University of Jos as first defendant and the Nigeria Army the second defendant.

 

Justice Dorcas Agishi while listening to fresh application by the counsel to the first defendant Barr Nimnan Denden asking for adjournment to enable him complete all the filing processes in accordance with the practice.

 

Barr Nimnan Denden seeking the court audience to response to the plaintiff counsel originating surmount and their motion of exparte application .

 

However.” Barr.Badamasi Kabiru Adàms “,the plaintiff counsel told journalists that the matter slated for continuation of hearing and enforcement of his clients fundamental human right that was abuse by the first defendant and the Nigeria Army .

 

Adams explained further that the demolition of his 50 clients fundamental human right had affected their economic wellbeing and the matter couldn’t proceed on the substantive issues filed .

 

According to him ,the counsel to university of Jos ,Barr Nimnan Denden had responded out of time asking for time to file his originating surmount so  argument to commence.

 

He stated that the five has expired and the justice Dorcas Agishi granted his request and push the hearing to 20th July, 2020 .

 

Adams said the application wasn’t contentious so we couldn’t argue over and all counsel agree .

 

The following were present the presentation of university of Jos, kparlong Collins ,the Nigeria army Major (Barr) C Emeagwu  ,Barr U .Y Hassan all didn’t object to the first defendant application .
