Council Chairmen Of Langtang North, And South “Unveil Inside History Of Resettlement Area”

The Chairman of Langtang South Local Government Council, Hon. Nanfa Alhassan Nbin has officially unveiled the history book of the people of the council, written by Jerry Samson Mantim, a miner.

The event unveils “By two Council Chairmen of Langtang North and South, Hon Pirfa Ntyem and Nanfa Alhassan Nbin : The First Book of Resettlement area since established in 1948 ”.

The book documented Langtang South LGA    journey and the contribution of it founders in 1948, highlighting its spiritual leadership, humanitarian work, and role in community development.

The story of Langtang South, with more than 178 villages across the council, is known for combining religious guidance with initiatives in education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and youth development.

According to the publication, it tells the story of Langtang South LGA’s founding vision, early challenges, achievements, and the people who shaped its growth. It will also feature archival photographs and accounts of how the council leadership has touched lives across the plateau and beyond.

They also appreciated the resilience and dedication of the writer to acknowledge the present challenges of the people by giving them direction for generations yet unborn.

Nbin pointed out that the first phase of the book chronicle revealed the current situation and the intervention of the council in addressing the perennial water problem through motorized borehole to resolve the issue.

He stated that the administration of Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang has awarded the rehabilitation of Mabudi, -Zamko  road, including the one linking Yelwa.

Nanfa purchased the book to be share to public schools, council headquarters, including the council executive arm.

Hon. Pirfa Ntyem, who was represented by his chief Press secretary Mr Solomon, lauded the writer for visionary prowess in gathering information that is going to produce meaningful development.

He charged the people of Langtang South to have a sense of purpose in pursuing a united agenda, progress, and development because what we want to promote is understanding and analyzing the plight of the people.

Ntyem assured of partnering with the appropriate authority to promote the strategic planning and policy that can harness and improve the well-being of the people.
