Council Boss Congratulates Children On The Occasion Of Their Celebration

The Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Shehu Bala Usman has congratulated Children in the area on the occasion of this year’s Children’s Day celebration.

Mr.  Philip Eplong Senior Information Officer Jos North Local Government in s press released made available to our medium in Jos.

The message is contained in his goodwill message to mark the special day set aside for children across the world.   He urged youths in the area and beyond to shun anti-social behaviors such as cultism, drug abuse, and examination malpractice.

The Chairman advised them to focus on their studies, where he said brings hope for their future and that of the country.

Usman said the government at all levels is striving to provide a conducive learning environment that would enhance, deepen and expand their frontier of knowledge.

He said is in addition to maintaining rigorous training of teachers to meet up with the speed of modern teaching techniques.

The Chairman used the occasion to appeal to parents not to relent in their effort to send their wards to schools, especially,  girls.

He stressed the education of a girl reduces infant and maternal mortality and discourages early child marriages.

Usman called on parents and guardians to adequately take care of their children as they are the future leaders.
