Comrade Aku Steps In, To Prevent Wide Spread Of COVID-19 In 17 LGAs On NULGE Staff

With the transfer of Local Government Employees staff across the 17 Local Government Area of Plateau State, Comrade Dauda A. Aku has distributed Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) worth millions of naira to prevent the widespread of the COVID-19 pandemic in Plateau rural and urban areas.

 

He explained that a  total of 50 handwashing equipment, 1,500 hand sanitizers, and 1500 nose masks are to be share as preventive measures across the state.

 

Comrade Dauda A. Aku in an interview with journalists during the distribution exercise in Jos, he said that the recent transfers and redeployments of Local Government Staff by the Plateau State Local Government Service Commission in 17 LGAs.

 

Aku called for caution and strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety protocols as stipulated by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC).

 

 

Comrade Dauda a staff with the Local Government Service posted to Langtang North LGA from Bassa LGA saw the need to introduce safety measures of all staff as the world fight against Coronavirus is on the increase.

 

 

The items were distributed by a team led by the immediate past Chairman, Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), Jos North Chapter, Comrade Hassan Rabiu Azi.

He employed them to see the gesture as contribution by individual toward motivating them in the fight against Corona Virus by all a sundry to improve the health and safety of the transfer and redeploy workers.

 

 

The DPM of Barkin Ladi LGC, Mr. David Dama; the DPM of Wase LGC, Mrs. Amina Sani Turaki; and the NULGE Caretaker Chairman of Kanam LGC, Comrade Aliyu Adamu, in their separate remark thanked the team and Comrade Dauda Aku for his benevolence mind to his colleagues.

 

Also, the DPM of Mikang LGC, Comrade Nancwat Samuel Laksing, and his counterpart in Jos North LGC, Mrs. Cordelia Kingson were also full of gratitude while receiving by calling on the activists and some Unionists who have the welfare of the staff at heart to take over the leadership of NULGE rather than allow self-serving individuals to continue holding the union to ransom.

 

Meanwhile, Mrs. Kanang Fom Bot, DPM, Riyom LGC;  Mrs. Katherine Davou, DPM, Jos South LGC; and Mr. Zemzak Madugu, NULGE Caretaker Chairman of Shendam LGC who received the items at their various Local Government Secretariats described the donations as timely and in the spirit of togetherness.
