There have been reported cases of compulsory retirement of staff rocking the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Sciences Jos, especially their illegal dismissal allegedly by the management of the college in connivance with the provost allegedly.
As a staff dismissed, Dr Bot Yakubu, has dragged the management and provost of the school to court over wrongful dismissal.
The suit filed by Dr Bot Yakubu challenging his illegal dismissal as a staff of the Federal School Medical laboratory Sciences Jos has been adjourned to the 2nd June 2022 to enable the parties to complete all regulations of reply.
Dr Bot Yakubu has approached an industrial court challenging the Provost of the College Dr. Sunday Etukudoh and the management of FSML for his wrongful dismissal.
The matter when it came up for mentioning at the industrial court Plateau state on Wednesday, when the defense counsel seek the audience of the court to fully appear on the substantive suit, Counsel to the defendants, Barr. Victor Joshua told the court that this matter was for mention today and the application was moved he is seeking for extension of more time within which he would regularize their processes.
According to him, his application was granted as he raised the issue of the fact that a particular letter was not served on him.
The plaintiff counsel, Barr. M. Cornelius said the defendant’s counsel disclosed that they approached the industrial court over the illegal dismissal of their client.
However, the matter which was for mentioning the defense brought application which was granted so they also want to regularize processes.
