Provost FSMLT Jos,  Dr Sunday Etukudoh In Alleged Move  To Silence Truth, As Prosecutor & Counsel Adopts Pre-Hearing Session

A Senior Magistrate Court presided  by a female judge  sitting at C’ Division of Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State has adjourned to the 23rd Day of  June ,2025 for indefinite hearing on the suit between Dr Sunday Etukudoh vs. Yakubu Busari a North-Central Senior correspondent of Universal Reporters in Jos .

The  suit filed by Provost Federal College of Medical Science Laboratories Technology Jos , Dr Sunday Etukudoh challenging Mr Yakubu Busari for exposing his tenure of  office and financial misappropriation of public funds .

The prosecution and the defendant counsel ,Barr.M.M Auwal adopted the pre-hearing session which the persecution brought on alleged four count charge labelled against the defendant (Yakubu Busari) .

The presiding judge after entertaining the argument and  their adoption by  the persecution and defense counsel granted them as prayed.

Auwal Esq,  made his  presentation challenging the plaintiff allegations that his counsel is not guilty of all charges  he then  adopted on oral presentation .

However ,the jurist granted all the prayers and  adjourned the suit for continuation of hearing on 23/5/25 .

The matter came up for adoption of case management before the senior magistrate court where the prosecutor and the defense counsels filed and exchanged  brief and were adopted .

The  plaintiff  Dr Sunday Etukudoh fabricate and circulate false allegations against Yakubu Busari —accusing him of crimes he  know absolutely nothing about.

The provost of FSMLT  objective is to use these lies as justification to manipulate security agencies into arresting and arraigning Mr Yakubu Busari    under false pretenses  of criminal defamation of characters ,inducing public ,breach of public peace ,murder or  unlawfully  arrest, detention to  silence the report .

Dr Sunday Etukudoh desperate  move is clearly  motivated—an attempt to suppress media  voice over missing records of his tenure of office since 2001  and that of alleged murder  knowing fully well that the EFCC arraigned him for money laundry and financial misappropriation in 2009 .

The case which came up for his re-arraignment before Honourably Justice S.P. Gang on the 18th Day of February, 2025 was reported by journalists  when  he used Anglo Jos ,Divisional headquarters to arrest Mr Yakubu Busari.

As a Nigerian citizen, I have the inalienable right to write a report on court proceedings because it is already before the public domain the provost cheap threat, blackmail, or harassment to stop journalists standing on the side of truth, justice, and the collective will of Nigerian .

It would be recalled that ,’the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  tendered documents before the Plateau State High Court against the provost of the Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology, Jos, FSMLT, Dr. Nkereuwem Sunday-Etukudo and four others over an alleged money laundry to the tune of N359m.

The EFCC had arraigned Sunday-Etukudo and Messrs Yusuf Samuel (Accountant), Ernest Demtoe (Secretary of Tenders Board), Goodluck Echewa and Asio Udoh (both contractors of the school) on a 15-count charge of conspiracy and diversion of the school’s funds to the tune of N359 Million between 2008 and 2013.

One of the witness, Abdurazaq Salawu, led by Counsel to the EFCC, Samuel Okeleke, tendered documents which the court admitted as exhibits J8, J9 and J10 respectively.

Then, the witness informed the court presided over by Justice, Christiane Dabub,  that all the three companies involved in the contract scam belong to the FSMLT provost and he is a signatory to their bank accounts.

According to him, in the exhibit J8 document, investigations showed that after money was paid into Makato Construction Company Limited’s bank account which allegedly belongs to the 5th defendant, the sum of N19m were later transferred into the Provost’s personal account on  October 8, 2008.

He added that in exhibit J9, investigations showed that in 2008, when the contract sum of N47m was paid into M.S Batuta Company Limited’s bank account, the account was debited with N34m in favour of Dr. Sunday-Etukudo.

The witness said exhibit J10 contained documents of contract award to Yahusa Associates limited.

Mr. Salawu said:  ” revealed that on December 10, 2008, Federal School of Medical Laboratory Technology (FSMLT), paid in N24.3 million into First Bank account of Yahusa Associate Ltd, but on December 16, 2008, N10 million was transferred into the account of the provost in Access Bank.

“The amount was meant for the purchase of two 32-seater Toyota buses for the FSMLT.

“Before that transfer of N24.3 million, Yahusa Associate Ltd’s account had only a balance of N398.33 only as could be seen on this exhibit, P24, being bank statement of the contractor, Yahusa Associate Ltd,” Mr Salawu said.
