Community Leader Condemns Malicious Publication Against Adamawa State Deputy Governor By Tom Garba, Tom Garba

A community leader from Wuro Hausa in  Yola South have condemned in strong terms the malicious publication in some national daily dated, April 23 2015 where the name of the deputy governor was dragged in the mud  the allegation a disputed access road in Kofare, Yola North LGA where the deputy governor was accused of using his exalted seat to make life difficult by blocking the access road.

Mallam Isa Aliyu who is the community leader of the area categorically said that  the libellous write-up is a sponsored work to dent Sa’ad MC Tahir black and seek cheap popularity by some of his political enemies especially one Maiwada Pullo.

“They should not forget Tahir has a good name since he was in the National Assembly representing the good people of Yola North, Yola South Figure and Girei LGAs, he can just trample in the right of the down trodden because he is a Deputy Governor, please those behind this issue should know that the Man is too kind enough not to bring untold hardship to the people he loves,” Isa said

Reacting to accusations the deputy governor said is an unfortunate and a shameful thing for some journalists in Adamawa state to be lured by the tricks and tactics of an international fraudster who duped Adamawa state Government during the Nyako Administration without hearing my own side of the story

It is important to know that Maiwada Pullo used a company called Hydrosource and Resources Nig. Ltd. and collected the sum of N280,235,037.77 and N289,764,916.23 for the construction of Mubi By-pass phase 2 and Fufore- Ribadu Road respectively, two contracts he failed to execute, even after collecting the contract sums.

According to Tahir, Pullo cannot denied that because he admitted to the criminal charges levelled against him before the Justice Bobbo Umar Commission of inquiry in the state.

“I call on the EFCC to arrest Maiwada Pullo so as to refund the two contracts sums amounting to N569, 999,948.00 to Adamawa state Government.

“I want to state here that there is no iota of truth in the entire saga, the complainants should have produce and published the certificate of occupancy (C of O) in dispute to show whether it is a private property or communal land. Also they should have equally published the terms of contract the Deputy Governor entered into with the Nyako administration and the amount he was paid for the piece of land in dispute” Tahir lamented

The Deputy Governor revealed that all the security agencies in the were contacted over the same issue and found him guiltiness after been discovered that he bought the land over five years ago and unfortunately left it fence-less and people created an access road that was why he fence the land to curtail people who have illegally started occupying and raiding on the land with serious encroachment on the same piece of land.

“As far as I know is only a construction company (PW) working in Yola consulted me for them to have an access road because of their heavy equipments which I obliged

With this undeserved story I demand all the media houses that published the purported story to apologize and Maiwada Pullo should equally tender an unreserved apology,” Tahir added.
