Civil Servants In Plateau To Acquire Certificate Of Occupancy For Their Houses-Plateau Government

The Honourable Commissioner for Land and Survey in Plateau Barr. Festus Fuanter has said, that Civil Servants in Plateau State have been given a special opportunity to acquire certificates of occupancy for their houses and lands in a new innovation package initiated by the Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning.

Speaking in his office, the Honourable Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Town Planning,Barr. Festus Fuanter stated that the new Innovation entails that Civil Servants in State and Local Government Service who own houses in Jos and other parts of the State can come forward and submit their applications for Certificates of Occupancy in the Ministry while the cost for processing will be spread on their salaries and paid installmentally over time.

This according to the Commissioner is in addition to 50% reduction granted by the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong, during the Critical Stakeholders Meeting recently organized by the Ministry.

Barr. Festus Fuanter implored all Civil Servants in the State to take advantage of this friendly package to acquire the much needed title documents which according to him is of great value that can be used for economic transactions in the future especially at retirement. This special package according to the Commissioner is also applicable to Corporate Organizations such as Nasco, Grand Cereal and Oil Mills Limited, Corporative Societies as well as Federal Government establishments in the state.

The Commissioner said that to benefit from such package, the Organizations are expected to forward the names of their staff who are desirous of such title documents who would then be contacted by the Ministry for the details of the location of such houses and land.
