Security has been beefed-up ahead of Tomorrow Christmas celebration in Plateau state. The Plateau state Police Cammand,CP Nasiru Oki has disclosed that security personnel have been deployed in all the worship places across the state.
In a press statement signed by the PPRO DSP Abuh Emmanuel ,he also warned people of the state not to patronized unregistered amusement ,recreational centres .
The commissioner said, there is still ban on the use and sales of fireworks such as knockouts, banger and other explosives is still in force and the violators will be made to face the full weight of the law.
According to him, restriction on street trading is still in force, vehicle owners who are going to places of worship ,churches and mosques they are advised to park their vehicles at designated points.
He challenged members of the general public maintain and be security conscious and volunteer dependable information to the police and security agencies for prompt action.
However, the state capital recorded influx of people who came to celebrate in the state.
Also traders decried the increase in food price during the Xmas and transportation was not left out .
