The Interim Management Committee Chairman of Mbaitoli LGA of Imo State, Hon. Chief John Eke, has stated it very clear that his administration at the local government level will never relent in delivering the dividends of democracy to his people at the grassroots.
Hon. Eke made the assertion in an exclusive media inspection tour of his completed projects within the council premises.
According to him, “Our LGA-Mbaitoli is known for its uniqueness due to our large landmass, nevertheless, we have been able to assure we touch vital areas in every community to give them a sense of belonging”.
“In my Local Government Area, we have created more rural access roads in Ogbujioma Autonomous Community Ogbaku. We are ensuring the security of lives and properties in the Council by rebuilding parameter fences in the Council. We have commissioned a 500kva Electricity Transformer in Nworieubi City, now there is the steady power supply in the council and all the environment which was very difficult for the past government to achieve.
Our education authority building is completely renovated to serve its purpose, and our staff receives their salary as at when due. Governor Sen. Hope Uzodinma has given us every support to succeed and we are consolidating on this mandate.
He, therefore, warned detractors and opposition parties to desist from activities capable of causing disunity in the council stressing that any criticism should be done constructively.
“We are very poised to deliver on people’s oriented projects in accordance with with the law and instructions of the state government, hence we appeal for your total support and encouragement to continue the good work”, Eke tells detractors and others.
