Mbaike 2023: Heavy Sledge Hammer Falls Against Akarachi Amadi As Mbaitoli Leaders Unite In Support For  Ikpamezie’s Reps Aspiration

The House of Representatives aspiration of  Hon.Engr.Àkarachi Amadi, is said to have suffered a huge setback as some critical stakeholders of Mbaitoli Local Government Area have jointly called on the immediate past General Manager, Owerri Capital Development Authority, OCDA, Hon.Engr Innocent Ikpamezie, to run for Mbaitoli/Ikeduru 2023 Federal Constituency seat with the political platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Some strong leaders from Mbaitoli in a leadership meeting held last Saturday, April 23rd, 2023, at Prince Macon Nlemigbo’s Umudagu Mbieri-home, unanimously adopted Ikpamezie’s House of Representatives bid.

Some of the leaders who spoke during the meeting pointed out that the Mbaitoli people are yet to complete their turn, in line with the existing zoning arrangements of 12 years which Mbaitoli is yet to complete.

They further revealed that Ikpamezie has all the leadership capacities to represent the interest of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru people at the National Assembly, considering his Iikable personality and excellent antecedents when he served as the General Manager of the OCDA, he was able to make a good name for himself and Mbaitoli people.

However, Mbaitoli leaders argued that Ikeduru which is their sister constituency has produced the incumbent Deputy Governor of Imo State, while Mbaitoli has the house of Representatives member but from the opposition party, making a demand that Ikpamezie should be given the APC ticket for Mbaike house of Representatives seat.

Addressing the meeting, Hon. Uche Nwole time lawmaker who represented Mbaike Federal Constituency said; “Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Zoning Arrangement must be respected to avoid messing up the system, Àkarachi Amadi who is Prince Charles Amadi’s son has consulted me together with his campaign team that he wants to run for House of Representatives, I have clearly told him to step down and run for the house of assembly because Mbaitoli people have not completed their tenure yet.”

However, honorable Nwole joined other leaders in the decision that Mbaitoli must finish their twelve years term agreement, which the late lawmaker, Bethel Amadi spent in the house of reps.

Meanwhile, some notable dignitaries who attended the meeting; Hon Chinonye Agugbuo (Mbaitoli LGA APC Chairman), Hon.Kezie Ogaziechi,(Commissioner for Lands) Hon. Prof. Emma Duru,( Commissioner for Environment), Hon.John Eke (IMC Chairman of Mbaitoli), Hon.Osita Opara , Chief Macon Nlemigbo, Barr.Kingsley Ononuju, some representatives of Mbaitoli President Generals, all present government appointees, some selected party executives, All House of Assembly aspirants, IMC members as well as others.
