Certificate Forgery: Court In Nasarawa Orders Lafia APC Chairmanship Running Mate To Pay N100million Compensation

The High Court sitting in Lafia has ordered the Lafia Local Government Chairmanship running mate, Honorable Hafsat Abdullahi to pay a whooping N100, 000,000m as cost of suit.

 

The court also directed the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission to instantly issue a certificate of return to the Chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party and the Deputy Chairman respectively.

 

The led Counsel, The Senior Advocate of Nigeria,Ola Olanipekun in a writ of summons directed the State electoral umpire not to hesitate to issue a certificate of return to the candidates of PDP.

 

The writ of summons followed a petition written by the candidates of the opposition political party, The PDP over certificate forgery, The court directed the 4th respondent which is NASEIC to produce the original certificate of the 2nd respondent in the suit who is the Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government in the forthcoming Local Government Council election slated for October 6, 2021.

 

The embattled Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local  Government Council meet her Waterloo when the bubble burst that she did attend Primary school.

 

The PDP in a statement of claim said the running mate to Honorable Aminu Muazu Maifata, Honorable Hafsat Abdullahi in her documents submitted to NASIEC on September 2, 2021 falsified that she attended Roman Catholic Mission Pilot Science Primary School, BAD  from 1995-2000.

 

Other Counsels in the Suit are Lagi Innocent Esq, Baba Ayiwulu Esq, Y.M Ede, Isaac Akpomoshi, U.S Oguajamma, Enna Benjamin, Anthony Cyril, A.G Akawu, A.G Dominic, H.A Ishaleku, A.Alumbugu.

 

The plaintiffs are the PDP Chairmanship candidate of Lafia Local Government, Honorable Adamu Davidson Henry, and his running mate, Honorable Mohammed Abdullahi Ibrahim.

 

The court directed that respondent 1,2,3, That is both the Chairmanship candidate and his running mate and the APC be disqualified from participating on October 6, Local Government Council election, Also ordered that  N100,000,000m be compensated as the cost of the suit.
