Certificate Forgery: Nasarawa PDP Drag 2 Deputy Chairmen To Court

The opposition political party in Nasarawa state, The People’s Democratic Party, PDP has drag two Deputy Chairmen of the ruling All Progressives Congress, The APC ahead of the October 6 Local Government Council election to a competent court of Justice over certificate forgery.

 

The affected Local Government Councils are the Deputies of Lafia Local Government, Hon. Hafsat for forging her primary school certificate and that of Secondary School respectively.

 

Also the Deputy Chairman of Awe Local Government Council, Hon. Bawa Wuse, It was gathered was involved in certificate forgery.

 

A PDP chieftain said they are helping the ruling All Progressives Congress if they would have done that after the conduct of Council poll before seeking for Justice in court, He further said doing that after the election would cause the APC two seats of Deputy Chairmen.

 

Hon. Hafsat when contacted on phone declined to comment over the matter, saying already the matter is before the court.

 

According to her, “If you want more information go to the court for confirmation”.

 

Hafsat was the immediate past Deputy Chairman of Lafia Local Government Council was accused of forging both primary and secondary certificates.

 

The Deputy Chairman of Awe Local Government, Hon. Bawa Wuse denied tabling a resignation letter over the matter.

 

Saying is not aware of anything of such magnitude and he did not resign or communicated to either the party or written to the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission letter.

 

Feelers maintained that APC stakeholders would today Thursday (23, September 2023) would substitute a certificate forgery-free Deputy Chairman to NASIEC.

NASIEC Chairman said is aware of the issue, which he said is before a competent court of jurisdiction. “I will not comment on that because the matter is before the court”
