Yakubu Busari

The  Director of Research Government House ,Prof. John Wade ,mni has debunked all allegations that the restrictions of President Muhammadu Buhari visit to the Northern parts is not link to security reports but for government to present its score cards of 3 years of Governor Lalong government.

Prof Wade stated this at the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, and Plateau State Council while answering questions on the visit of President Buhari to the state.

He said ,I think the conception by individual that President refused coming is fault I try to appeal to the people of Jos that he came on official visit to Plateau state not Jos ,rather he was not bill to commission but to inspect  roads  cut across the three senatorial districts in two days.

Wade stressed that Mr President’s visit was restricted to Jos metropolis which he didn’t go beyond the northern zone as Lalong presented reports card of years which contain rich compendium of achievement.

According to him, to say that there is suspected Boko Haram in Jos and its environs he refused no majority of our supporters feel bad but it was deliberate due to request so many projects bill for commissioning and he could not go round.

He condemned those statement criticizing that they only hand pick few loyalists to speak during the town hall meeting was not true ,in democracy whatever you do people will still criticize your action and people are entitled to their opinion .

However, Prof. Wade explained further that those who spoke presented the reports on Plateau including some the greatest challenges between farmers and herdsmen clashes to Mr president which they all drew the attention of president to that effect.

He noted that one of the issues presented was the naming of road to President Muhammadu Buhari Way ,the Minister should follow all the streets naming before writing on Facebook the governor was very clear he laid down issues of Plateau people to the federal government .

Wade maintained that we could not stay a whole night we identify different groups, the women society organization ,CAN ,PYC ,Elders and national assembly they know their politician and challenges of each group that was presented .

The Elders in Plateau has their issue presented to Mr President they were all recognized ,the youth spoke through their leadership ,sometimes when talking you should not go and keep attacking is not true in any democratic society.

He pleaded that we have to be very careful the situation that happen in the past ,General John Nanzip Shagaya is very dear to the state ,the government has come to express its sympathy by opening condolence register in Government House were people troupe in to sympathize with government ,Family  and the Tarok Nation .

Wade disclosed that government is going to give Shagaya state burial for his contribution to Plateau and Nigeria also Mr President sent his sympathy .

He described as unfortunate the recent attacks and killings during the President visit which government is doing everything possible to curtail the killing .

Wade said Lalong government will soon boost the security with the new modern security gadgets to reduce rampant attack which arrangement has been put in place to grantee the safety of lives and properties of citizenry .
