Breaking: Gunmen Kill Five Traditional Rulers In Imo(Photos Inside)

High tension and pandemonium rocked  Tuesday, Oct.19th, 2021, at Nnenasa Community, the Council Headquarters of Njaba LGA of Imo State, as some unknown gunmen in their numbers invaded the venue of the Traditional Rulers meeting in the area leading to the death of some Royal Fathers while others sustained various degrees of injuries and where have been rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

According to sources in the area, it revealed that the Traditional Rulers in their large numbers gathered at the Council Headquarters for their meeting when hoodlums interrupted their meeting with sporadic shootings and it was alleged that about five traditional rulers were reportedly killed on the spot.

A source who pleaded anonymity disclosed that “Things are really getting out of hand in Imo State, imagine killing our respected Traditional Rulers as if they are fowls, something must have to be done as quickly as possible to bring back peace and security in every part of Imo State and in the South East region “

When contacted, the Imo State Police Command spokesman, Michael Abattam confirmed the incident, ” Yes, we have gotten the report and it is only two Traditional Rulers that died during the attack”

The monarchs who lost their lives were, HRH Eze Barr. E. A Durueburuo, Obi I of Okwudor and HRH Eze Sampson Osunwa, of Ihebinowere Autonomous Community.
