Wonders shall never is the phrase that best describe the action of Mwuese Keleve, a Tiv women in Kadarko community of Keana Local Government of Nasarawa state who was on Tuesday morning arrested by the Nigeria police in collaboration with members of the community for drowning a two day old male baby into a river.

Kadarko police outpost was turned to cynosure of all eyes as Mwuese the baby Killer was brought before the police, an eye witness, Terra Iorfa Peter in an interview with selected Journalists said he discovered the body flouting in a river.

“After sighting an object like a baby toy I advance further to discover that it was a dead body of a two days old baby “.

“I alongside community members alerted the traditional ruler and he subsequently informed the police about the development” he added.

The husband and father to the deceased baby, Fenen Peter in his statement stated that has married for the past 15 years.

He further narrated that the rift between his wife (Mwuese) and himself was aftermath of the burning of his household by his wife.

“Our relationship is sour though I’m responsible for the pregnancy” he added.

He expressed dismay over the gory situation, calling on the authority concern to deal with the culprit for killing an innocent baby.

The husband; “After hearing the news and the disappearance of my wife for about two days and on sighting her the pregnancy disappeared and I alerted the monarch of the community and summoned all pregnant mothers and addressed them on the issues”

He further threaten to invite medical team to conduct diagnosis on all expectant mothers, this compelled Mwuese to revealed that she was responsible for the drowning of the two days old baby.

As at press time, the paramount ruler of Kadarko, Osokadoko Fabian Orogu could not be reached for comment.

The Divisional Police Officer of Kadarko division declined comment instead directed universalreporters247.com to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Idrisu Kennedy for comment, saying the divisional outpost would furnish the commissioner of police with the details.
