The Bauchi State Youths Forum have canvassed for the reelection bid of Governor Mohammed Abubakar, calling on other supporters to vote for credibility and continuity .
Spokesman of the group, Hon Abdullahi Zabala disclosed this during an interactive session with Journalists in Jos on Friday.
According to him, Governor Abubakar deserves to be given a second term in office considering his track records of achievement in his four years of governance.
The youth group said they are mobilizing mass rally to support the candidature of governor Abubakar ,we the Bauchi people have the believe and trust in his leadership and we are ready to give our overwhelming mandate to the APC government.
It would be recalled that a group of opposition parties in Bauchi have alleged supporting the elections of Governor Abubakar in 2015, said they’re organizing to work for his failure in 2019″.
He stated that,”Am telling you, in Bauchi state, we do not have opposition party because all the bigwigs in politics of Bauchi have defected and they’re drumming for Governor Abubkar, among them which include, the two former governors of the state Ahmadu Mu’azu who is also a former National chairman of PDP, Mallam Isa Yuguda a former governor, who also served as head of service of the federation.”
“The former Minister of Defence and former secretary to the government of the federation Alhaji Mahmoud Yayale Ahmed, a former deputy governor and onetime speaker of the state assembly, former senator and serving deputy national chairman north Senator Babayo Garba Gamawa among others are all in the APC, are in full support of the incumbent governor, therefore we are not threatened by the gang up by a minor minority political parties.”
Hon Zabala,pointed out that, governor Abubakar transform Bauchi state, revamp the educational sector , boost agricultural with his landmark achievement in infrastructural development.
“The renovation of Bauchi State polytechnic that was abandon and lack of accreditations of most the courses were reposition the institution as modern .
He added that “the Gen Hassan Katsina unity school has been transformed, and upgraded to technical institution, and construction is still ongoing.”
He said the Bauchi state governor is ready to pay the new minimum wage of 30, 000 to civil servants in the state “the governor agree to pay 30,000 minimum wage when it’s passed into law.”
Hon Zalaba who is popularly known as “Maimatasan Bauchi, meaning, advocate of Bauchi youth” call on Bauchi electorates, particularly youths, whom according to him have benefited immensely in the APC Mohammed Abubakar’s led administration, to massively vote for him to be returned in office as governor of the state.
Hon Zabala stressed that the health sector is the greatest beneficiary of the infrastructural and facility development of the state “out of the 20 local governments areas in Bauchi state 19 has a functional hospitals.”
