Bauchi State Government has approved the installation of many solar systems on four roads within the State Capital.
The Commissioner of Works and Transport, Professor Titus Saul Ketkukah disclosed this to newsmen immediately after coming out of the Executive Council Meeting.
He said that the four streets to install the solar system include: Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Atiku Abubakar, Awalah to Sir Abubakar Tafawa-Baleawa International Airport, and Awalah round about Maiduguri bypass roads, all within Bauchi metropolis.
The commissioner said that installing the solar system will help motorists move smoothly at night and reduce the issue of criminal activities in the metropolis.
Works Commissioner, Professor Titus Saul Ketkukah, who is also the Dan-Iya of Tapshin and Jarmai of Ngas, further said that the installation of the solar system will also beautify the State capital.
He urged the affected communities to support the government in guarding the solar system in the four streets so that criminals will not have access to it.
