Battle Of The Governors Forum Resumes As Gov. Amaechi Calls For NGF Meeting

Rivers State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum, Rotimi Amaechi has called for a meeting of the since after emerging winner of the Forum’s election on May 24.  According to the Governor, the meeting is expected to hold by 8:00 p.m. at the Rivers State Governors Lodge, Abuja.

An aide to the Governor Chidinma Onyenalim ,  signed the invitation for the meeting.

It will be recalled that the governor has been suspended Peoples Democratic Party, his party and the governor also has the backing of about 18 of his colleagues.

However, it is not certain if all the 18 governors loyal to him will be attending the meeting, following the controversy trailing the Forum election as Governor Jang is also holding on the chairmanship of the forum as the winner of the May 24.
