Badaru Sponsors 50 Students To Acquire Degree On Islamic Education Abroad

No fewer than 300 students were selected to participate in the resent Quranic recitation currently going in jigawa state, for the 31st Jigawa state Quranic recitation competition in the state.

This was disclosed by the chairman of the Jigawa state Islamic bureau Alhaji Yakubu Abas in an interview with newsmen shortly after the official opening of the ceremony at the Jigawa state polytechnic.

Alhaji Abas further explained that the state government has released the sum of N14 million  for the conduct of the programmes.

Adding that the exercise is expected to be close by next week Thursday at the same venue, even as he added that the state government spent over N163 million for the construction of 60 classrooms in the three senatorial zone in the state.

Abbas further stated that the Islamic school which was constructed in the senatorial zones was 2 blocks of classrooms which contained four classes each with a view to uplifting the living standard of Islamic schools in the state.

He also hinted that the state government has spent the sum of N163m for sponsoring 50 students to acquired degree on Islamic education in Arab countries with a view to increase the number of Islamic scholars in the state.
