An aspirant for State Chairmanship of the People Democratic Party (PDP) ,Hon Phillip Adik has cautioned against lack of internal democracy in plateau politics describing it as an ingredient of doom .
He maintained that unnecessary factions among members of the party is capable of causing disaffection within the state chapter.
Adik gave this advice to the supporters of PDP at Bank road junction in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
He decried that the state chapter didn’t have any aggrieve factions, but they are working hard to bring back the lost glory of the party structure at the wards ,local governments and state level where people will now have trust and believe in the leadership.
“We are ready to allow party ideology to play because the umbrella is too big that everyone would be accommodated to contribute to the growth of the state chapter”,he added.
The aspirant condemned some session of people who are calling themselves Plateau project and greater together, as he said all I know is that my candidature is to promote peaceful coexistence with purposeful determination to reposition it.
” What stimulated me to vie for the position of the chairmanship of the party is to bring my wealth of experience to bare where everybody will be carried along”.
Hon Phillip said ,his philosophy is to build capacity of the people and focus, uniting more members because of my political background.
He reiterated that the fall of PDP in Plateau state in the 2015 general elections in the state was due to politics of doom where a group destroyed the party ideology zoning arrangement.
According to him, if elected, he would focus on internal democracy ,party orientation and innovation, which is embedded on him to attract more sympathy to the party .
He stressed that those who are friends and associate should believe in “Adalachi ” meaning fairness to all people and considering the plight of aggrieved members .
“I am prepare to be committed toward rebuilding PDP and remains focus in supporting everybody and giving them opportunity to contribute” he explained.
