Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi state said, his administration had in collaboration with security agencies arrested some civil servants on allegation of financial misconduct towards sabotaging the government efforts.
This was just as the governor Abubakar apologized to civil servants that were made to suffer unduly in respect of the deliberate mistakes from human errors throughout the period of staff verification in the state that necessitated the delay in salary payment.
Abubakar added that his administration is not living any stone unturn to finish out bad elements in their renewed commitment to sabotage the APC change mantra.
The governor said stated this while speaking to journalists during a broadcast to the state to clear some issues regarding staff verification exercise embarked upon by the administration
According to the governor, the verification exercise was mandatory to substantiate workers strength in the state saying is peculiar in all the states apparently to address the inherited poor financial situations.
“Those arrested will be made to face the wrath of the law while others are currently facing administrative disciplinary action for sabotaging the administration efforts in transforming the entire civil service said” Abubakar.
In order to ensure financial management in judicious utilization of funds attributed to the bail out from it enjoyed, Abubakar stressed that ICPC was initially invited to search its beam light in the state expenditures to ensure accountability.
Similarly, Abubakar tackled those challenging the administration through social media on allegation of financial misappropriation as he described them as rubbish.
He admitted that within one year the APC administration had received about N82 billion from the federal allocation not N72 billion as alleged saying the state has already apply for budget support to enjoy another bail out from FG.
Other impediments against the non-payment of workers salary, Abubakar attributed to the court order garnishing the state central account following over non-payment of Bauchi state councilors during Mu’azu and Yuguda administration.
Abubakar assured that in spite of the challenges faced by the state, workers will continue to enjoy their salary as at when due within the available resources.
In the same vain, Abubakar has apologized to Workers in the state for the deliberate mistakes incurred through the efforts of saboteurs against the government.
