The Chairman of Plateau State Arewa Pastors Forum For Peace,APFFP, Rev. Sylvester Dombin has condemned the the brutal killing of Rev. Lawal Andimi the CAN Chairman, Minchika Local Government Area ,and killings and kidnapping of innocent citizens by suspected herders, as unwarranted.
Rev Dombin disclosed in an interview with our correspondence in Jos says, the Arewa pastors Forum For Peace are calling on Government to break the silence and commenced thorough investigation into the kidnapping business and genocide against the Christian faithfuls .
According to him, after the gruesome execution of Rev. Lawan Andimi ,attacking and kidnap of another Christian in Jos South LGA occurred ,we employed government for a total overhauling of the security architecture.
He said the APFFP, Condole with the bereaved family ,CAN in Adamawa state and Nigeria Christian over the dastardly act of kidnapping and massacre of Christian.
Rev Sylvester Dombin Calls for help from the International community against the onslaught melted on believers of christianity as exterminate their generation.
We recall sadly that Late Rev. Lawan Andimi while in captivity made a passionate appeal to the leadership of his church and the Federal Government to come to his rescue.
The Church did everything within her reach to secure the safe release of this pastor but it was not possible because they didn’t have the military power to do so.
“You would recall that last, Sunday, a clergyman, Rev Denis Bagauri was murdered by unknown gunmen in his residence at Mayo Belwa of Adamawa State”.
As a Church we condemn the unabated kidnappings, extortions and killings of Christians and innocent Nigerians as shameful.
He further stated that the reprehensible and saddening situation were each time the government comes out to claim that it had defeated insurgency, and the killings of our people .
Rev Dombin reiterated that the developments that surrounding the prevailing upsurge of attacks against the church with ongoing insurgents and exterminating Christian worshippers in Nigeria is unbearable in the Nigerian mind.
The leadership under APC government has refused to take a critical look at security sector but kept playing politics with the arrest of key players in Boko Haram insurgent allowing them to cause havoc in the name of religion.
Rev Sylvester Dombin employed Christians to be calm, by calling on the Federal Government to be more proactive this political and economic insurgency causing continuous siege and destructions of lives and property of citizens .
He noted that security is one of the key responsibility of government that took allegiance of office to protect lives of common man on the streets.
Dombin advised Federal Government to fast track the release of Christian hold hostage and are now suffering untold from the Boko Haram and ISWAP captivity .
He frowned at government apologists claiming the killings have no religious undertones, but today why are these terrorists including herders targeting Christian communities and Christian leaders.
APFFP appealed to all the International community and developed world like the US, the UK, Germany, Israel and others to kindly come to the aid of Nigeria, especially the Northern believers so that we might not be eliminated.
The Church has vowed to remain resolute and not to bow to the antics of Muslim terrorists and their sponsors and very soon , God will unmask these ungodly and wicked elements within us .
We urge all Arewa Pastors to set three days apart this week to fast and pray for Nigeria.
