The Former apartheid leader, Archbishop Desmond Tutu has died at the age of 90 years, in his home town South Africa.

The Presidency in South Africa has made the pronouncement the death of the South Africa Nobel peace prize laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu who fought against the regime of white minority rule has died at the age of 90 on Sunday.

President Cyril Ramaphosa disclosed that Archbishop Desmond Tutu distinguished himself as a nonsectarian, all-inclusive champion of universal human rights abuses.

The passing out of Archbishop Desmond Tutu is another great blow to the African continent and a fresh chapter of bereavement in the nation of South Africa as they bid him farewell for his outstanding quality and contributions to the development of African.

South Africa saw his generation of outstanding people who bequeathed us a liberated South Africa from shackles black days of the injustice of the white boar.

However, decades ago, the people of South Africa witnessed the ends of the white apartheid regime that was chaired by Tutu to ensure true reconciliation, trust commission was set up to unearth the atrocities committed during those dark days.

The late President Nelson Mandela was a close associate of Archbishop Desmond Tutu and they lived together in the same street in the South Africa township of Soweto, Vilakazi street, the only one in the world to host two Nobel peace prize winners.

Tutu was sometimes in the year 1990 diagnosed with the disease of prostate cancer infections and in recent years he was hospitalized on several occasions to be treated for infections associated with his cancer treatment.
