The Nasarawa State Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Senator Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo, has lauded the incumbent Governor of Nasarawa State, especially for bringing development closer to the people.
He gave the hint during his confirmation at the primary election and substitution of all candidates seeking election ahead of the 2027 General election.
Ogoshi Onawo during an interview with members of the press at the venue of the exercise held at Manyil Royal Suite in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital, on 12, Saturday, 2026.
He commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for the remarkable feat he recorded in the last seven years in the affairs of the state.
Saying that, if given the chance to rule Nasarawa State, he would plan to surpass the present Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, whom he said has changed the entire state in all ramifications.
“My politics is without bitterness. No matter the political difference between you and an incumbent Governor who has done better, you are supposed to eulogize him for the great work he has done for the sake of Nasarawa State, generation yet unborn.”
The APM state Chairman, Dr. Mohammed Awal Suleiman, told Journalists that he has volunteered to step down for a candidate more capable than him.
Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo is the right person to run for the exalted seat of the state, and the person we will give our mandate to.
Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo admonished his supporters to shun political vindictiveness, insult, and blackmail, and instead abide by the rules of the game.
He thanked the party Chairman, who also serves as the Governorship Candidate of the APM in the State, Dr. Awal Mohammed Suleiman, for relinquishing the Governorship ticket to him.
He thanked the electoral umpire for their presence in monitoring the substitution of all candidates ahead of the 2027 general election.
