APC Senate Seat Loss, A Victory To PDP-Nasarawa PDP Chairman

The Nasarawa state chairman of the People’s Democratic Party,Chief Yunana Iliya has described the victory of Senator Suleiman Adokwe of the PDP over his opponent Arch.Hussaini Egyegbola of the ruling All Progressives Congress as a victory to the party.

The Chairman speaking shortly after the appeal court sitting in Makurdi, Benue state declared Senator Adokwe winner of Nasarawa South senatorial district, said the six month spend by Egyegbola (APC) at the senate was an illegal one ,He stated this in a telephone conversation.

“The legal battle between Adokwe (PDP) and Egyegbola (APC) is a clear case of stolen mandate and the court been the last resort of the common man has done it by making us proud, The verdict of the appeal court is a clear indication that our party is waxing stronger”.

Yunana Iliya while commenting on the flag-off of International cargo airport, Lafia by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura described the proposed project as a misplaced priority,” The project is a white elephant project looking at the present situation of the people, He added.

“Can Al-Makura finish the project before he vacates office? The answer is no and why starting what you cannot complete? Is better for him to concentrate on five solid bridges to linked communities than establishing airport at the time Local Government workers salaries were not paid, workers are leaving in squalor, deprivation, stagnation, hunger, agony of death”

“He commended the Nigerian judiciary for steps taken in the dispensation of justice, Saying the truth shall prevailed over falsehood”.

But the state secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Aliyu Bello in a telephone interview after the declaration of the embattled senator Suleiman Adokwe the winner expressed shock over the verdict of the appeal court sitting in Makurdi.

Bello called on party supporters in the state to remain calm, In a related development the appeal court sitting in Makurdi also upheld the election of Honorable Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo (PDP) representing Awe,Doma,Keana Federal constituency.

Honorable Yahaya Adams (APC) has lost again at the appeal court to his opponent, The occupant of the seat ,Ogoshi Onawo for lack of substantive evidence.
