APC National Vice Chairman North-Central Zone Applauds Nasarawa PDP For Zoning Governorship Ticket To North Zone, Says Is Democracy In Action

The national vice chairman North-Central zone, Hon.Zakari Idde has described the recent zoning of the governorship ticket ahead of 2019 general election by the Nasarawa state chapter of the People’s Democratic Party as democracy in action.

Calling on the ruling All Progressives Congress to copy the opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party zoning formula for the interest of peace.

Zakari Idde gave the indication when members of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Nasarawa state chapter paid him Salah homage at his abode in Nasarawa Eggon.

The national officer applauded the leadership of the PDP for the dodgedness,adding that the decision was done at the right footing following the relegation of Nasarawa north senatorial zone to taste the seat of governorship since the advent of democracy in 1999.

“From 1999 to date, Western zone taste the governorship seat for two consecutive time ,that is from 1999-2007,While Aliyu Akwe Doma from Nasarawa south senatorial district ruled for fours, governor Al-Makura is completing his second term in office which is eight years, Nasarawa south alone ruled for the third term”.

“There is no justification, hoping our party would ensure equity ahead of the 2019 general election “.

Hon.Zakari Idde in his sallah message to the people of Nasarawa state and the nation at large commended Muslims and Nigerians for hitch-free celebration, saying Eid el- Kabir remains an auspicious moment in the life of every able Muslim.

He attributed the current economic quagmire to the damages done by the immediate past President under the PDP as a disaster that wreak havoc to the nation.

“Imagine a former women minister, Dizeani Maduekwe diverted huge amount of money without considering the plight of Nigerian masses

He further added that Nigerians has never had it good, saying corruption perturbed the nation at it jagular under the erstwhile regime, appealing to Nigerians to be patient with the present government under the headship of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Idde appreciate Nigerian Journalists for remaining firm and consistent in exhibiting fairness in portraying the country through balance reporting.
