The governorship candidate under the aegis of the All Progressive Grand Alliance has challenged the Nasarawa State governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to refund the chunk amount of taxpayers’ money wasted on estacode of family and friends to China while local government and workers at the state level wallow in agony and anguish.
Speaking he said more than fifty persons traveled alongside with the governor to China without any tangible progress, the erstwhile minister of Information gave the disclosure while speaking during the selection of notable party loyalist to filled in the vacuum in the state executive following the defection of some party heavyweight to All Progressives Congress.
Labaran Maku commended the party leadership for the prompt replacement, saying APGA would not engage the defectors in media war, adding that the party may need them again.
“Politicians are like a football club where you witness a season of transfer of players, adding that workers in the state would never know peace until there is change in government”.

He expressed concern over the non-conduct of mock examination in Nasarawa state due to organized labour strike, he however sympathize with local government workers over the dwindling of their monthly wage bill.
“The percentage payment started from 50% to 30%and now 10% been pay to local government staff, according to Maku, “broom was used to whip and flog workers instead of sweeping”.
He said miracle is enough for APC to return power in the first quarter of next year, he attested that the party is a divided fortress lacking strong pillars, Musa Saidu former chairman of Association of Local Government of Nigeria takes over the mantle of leadership of the party.
While a think-tank of the APC in 2011, Sam Allu emerged as the new Secretary of the party, others are Retired Shama, Saleh Asiri and Ibrahim Kasimu respectively.
