The former minister of works Dr. Hassan Lawal has described governor Umaru Tanko Almakura as the first son of President Muhammad Buhari.
Speaking at Nasarawa state university Keffi, auditorium during a two day retreat by the old boys of government teachers college Keffi, Hassan Lawal said that Al – makura was the only governor in CPC, the party that led to President Buhari joining the APC merger.
He said that Al – makura deserved a lot of accolade for nursing the party that took the most celebrated president of the black nation to the All Progressives Congress ( APC ) which is now the party at the helms of affairs in the country.
He explained that Al – makura has done more than enough to create the enabling environment for the electoral success in the country and the APC.
Dr. Hassan said that the Old boys of government college Keffi are very proud of his sterling qualities and urged him to do more in bringing more dividends of democracy to the state.
Also speaking, Abubakar Kana, former registrar Nasarawa State University Keffi, also described Al – Makura as the political laboratory of the APC who designed the way forward for the success of the party presently enjoyed in the country.
He said that Al – makura has done so well that deserved to be honoured by his alma-mater adding that his contributions to mankind is a testimony of the kind of people that the school produced.
In his remarks Al – Makura thanked the gathering and assured them of his support at all times.
He promised to continue to give education the desired attention and call for advice on how to move the state forward.
