Dan Opara
The leadership of APC in Imo State ably led by the Party State Chairman,Barr.Prince Marcillinus Nlemigbo,on Tuesday,March 25th 2019,shortly after a crucial meeting with the party’s 2019 Imo Guber candidate ,Sen.Hope Uzodinma, alongside with all the critical stakeholders of the party, with crowd of party members and supporters at the party secretariat along Owerri/Okigwe road, have told Imolites that there is still hope of reclaiming their alleged stolen guber mandate by the Imo PDP.
Addressing Imo APC party faithful(s),Sen.Hope Uzodinma, insisted that he won the last guber polls held on March 9th 2019 in the state as organized by INEC,but expressed disappointment over the purported and kangaroo announcement of the Imo PDP guber candidate,Hon.Emeka Ihedioha,as the winner by the INEC.
The APC governorship candidate insisted that he clearly won the whole election exercise in Imo and said that he expected INEC to reverse result in favour of Imo APC,claiming that he obviously won the election.
Meanwhile, the APC State Chairman,Prince Nlemigbo, said ” earlier that the party has followed the election outcome through the legal action via court ( tribunal). We have electoral facts and figures vindicating that our guber candidate actually won the election. Our candidate won the polls according to the electioneering reports at hand and with the report,INEC is expected to reverse the results in favour of Sen.Uzodinma and Imo APC. INEC is trying to redress their steps. It is not yet over. We have gone to the tribunal to seek for justice. Remember,we are the ruling political body. We have faith in the Judiciary and on INEC”,Nlemigbo submitted.
The APC chairman in Imo,Chief Prince Nlemigbo, therefore called on the party members and supporters to remain calm, stand by the party and still believe strongly on the party.
