The petitioners, Hon. Adamu Muhammed Alkali, the Peoples Redemption Party, (PRP) has concluded closing its case with the presentation of the judgment of the People Democratic Party (PDP ) primaries conducted and High Court, Appeal Court, and Federal High Court judgments to back up the proof of allegations of structure and over voting.
At the resumed court session on Wednesday, the PRP team led by Yakubu H.Ruba couldn’t present any witness before the tribunal but rather told the tribunal that they have documents to tender in evidence.
According to him, the documents sought to be tender have Certified True Copies of judgments which the tribunal should accept in evidence.
Ruba also prayed the tribunal to tender them from the bar the congresses held by the PDP which are marked as exhibits B1, B1a, B1e, and B42 are CTC admitted and marked.
However, the tribunal chairman Justice William Olumide accepted and granted the petitioners, his application seeking to tender credible documents to prove their case.
The petitioners anchored his case on two grounds, the ground 1 is that PDP didn’t have Exco and 2 is the issue of overvoting, nonadherent to the electoral guidelines, mutilation, and irregularities in some polling units.
The counsel to the 1st respondent, Sunday Oyawole told the tribunal that he needed enough time to study the evidence of the petitioners which require time.
The tribunal adjourned to the 10th day of July 2023 for INEC to open defense
