Following the schedule visit of President Jonathan to Adamawa on Thursday, Governor Bala Ngilari in a state broadcast has declared Wednesday and Thursday as public holidays; this he said is to allow the people of Adamawa to welcome both the PDP and APC presidential aspirants in the state.
Bala said the reason of the two days holidays is as a result of the visit of some notably presidential flag-bearers of some political parties amongst who is our president and Commander-in-Chief Dr. Good luck Ebele GCFR who is also the presidential flag-bearer of People’s Democratic Party. His visit is scheduled to hold on Thursday the 29th of this month.
“Similarly, the  presidential flag-bearer of All progressives congress (APC)  General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd)  GCFR, himself a former head of state, will be visiting the state for campaign on Wednesday the 28th January,” Nggilari added

While thanking the people of the state for being peace loving people despite the scourge of insurgents bedevilling the state, he called on the supporters of the political parties to conduct themselves in a peaceful and orderly manner for which they are known for.
