The Adamawa State Government has advised residents to remain vigilant and avoid crowded places during the upcoming Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, citing prevailing security concerns in parts of the country.

In a statement issued by Edgar Amos, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri called on citizens to adopt proactive safety measures to protect themselves and their communities throughout the festive period.

The governor specifically urged traditional rulers and religious leaders to strengthen surveillance within their domains and to promptly report any suspicious persons, objects, or movements to relevant security agencies.

According to the statement, the directive forms part of broader efforts by the state government to ensure a peaceful and incident-free celebration, particularly as Eid-el-Fitr is typically marked by large public gatherings.

Governor Fintiri also extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful, wishing them a peaceful and memorable Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
