Adamawa APC Ward Congress: Why I Refused To Sell Nomination Forms To Some Persons-Organizing Secretary, Lawal
The Organising Secretary of the Adamawa All Progressives Congress, Alhaji Ahmed Lawal, has said that that he refused to sell nomination forms to some person during the last ward Congress due to the party’s guidelines which were stipulated for the conduct of the congresses.
Alhaji Ahmed Lawal, Organising Secretary of the party made the disclosure on Monday while speaking to newsmen in Yola.
He added as he said that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa has no strong opposition party in the state to challenge it, come 2019 general elections.
Lawal said that the Governor Mohammed Bindow of Adamawa has galvanized governance attracting strong members of the opposition parties in the state to the ruling party.
The organising secretary commended the congress committee for conducting a free and fair ward congress in the state.
He urged those members who feel aggrieved due to the conduct of the ward congress to seek redress from the appeal panel.
Lawal said that the current state executive members of the party did not receive any complaint arising from the exercise.
He explained that his refusal to sell nomination forms to some people was in line with the guidelines stipulated for the conduct of congresses.
Lawal said that some members did bulk purchase which was against the guidelines of the party.
He, however, said that disagreements are part of politics, noting that the party is still one big indivisible party’ in the state in particular and the nation at large.
