600 Nasarawa LG Staff Sits For Promotion Examination

No fewer than 600 staff of Local Government Staff has participated in this year’s promotion examination which was a collaborative effort of the Nasarawa State Local  Government Service Commission and the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

 

The Chairman of the Commission, Barrister Muhammed Sani Bawa has disclosed, he said the effort was in fulfillment of the agreement reached during the strike embarked upon with the Organized Labour in 2015.

 

They explained that the state Government in a step to ensure better result at the end of the promotion examination has organized a three days tutorial.

 

He however added that the three days tutorial was sponsored and finance by the commission.

 

When asked whether any Local Government staff were dismissed, Barrister Muhammed Sani Bawa affirmed that no single staff was dismissed from service due to dereliction of duty.

 

On the issue of Secondment of staff, the Chairman buttressed that secondment was on hold for the moment.

 

Speaking on the issue of transfer staff, Bar.Bawa said transfer is a routine thing going on in the commission.

 

“The promotion examination was not only for promotion but also for conversion”.

 

He however pronounced that another set of staff would also benefit from the second round of promotion examination, calling on staff of Local Government to be dedicated to duty.
