The Plateau State Christian Pilgrims Board ,Executive Secretary ,Mr. Wilfred Sohotyep has disclosed that 584 intending Pilgrims are to be airlifted for 2017 to the Holy land .
Sohotyep made this disclosure at the COCIN Headquarters in preparation of the intending Pilgrims on Thursday in Jos.
Speaking he said this year’s intending Pilgrims should focus more on winning souls for God and seek God’s face through prayer for the prosperity of the land and leaders in Nigeria.
According to him, the state government under the leadership of Governor Simon Bako Lalong sponsored 300 persons, the Local Governments sponsored 170, and that officials are 79 while 35 are self-sponsored.
Sohotyep expressed satisfaction that in spite of the economic challenges facing people many, people still show their love to serve God.
He reminded the intending Pilgrims that the journey to holy land is a spiritual sacrifice which is to accomplish God purpose as many go to the land without being prepared.
Wilfred Sohotyep charged Christian to walk in accordance with the biblical teaching of Moses, Abraham who God spoke to them directly.
He explained further that two persons absconded in Israel last year, but that on this year screening the committee handling the exercise was careful to select people who will not disappoint them.
