2019 Imo APC Governorship Ticket Crisis Darkens Against Uche Nwosu’s Guber Bid, As Security, Shots His Supporter

Tragedy was averted today in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State by God Almighty when a security officer who was on mufti, who may be a Policeman, Civil Defence officer or a Mobile Police officer but is officially attached to Chief Ugwumba Uche Nwosu allegedly shot one of his principal’s Guber supporters, young Mrs. Glory Opara, from Benin City in Edo State, who is married to one Mr. Ifeanyi Opara, from Ohii Autonomous Community in Owerri West LGA State, narrowly escaped sudden death.
The supposed accidental discharge sporadically shot by the officer who was in the convey of Hon. Nwosu passed through the left hand (palm) of Mrs.Glory on her way to the campaign office, according to her (the victim).
She became a victim of circumstance when she joined many others supporters including her own sisters on their to campaign secretariat of Nwosu.
The incident occurred right in front of the Garden Park Business Center in Owerri, shortly after the crowd received Nwosu at the Freedom Square Owerri.
The young married lady who received the bullet was immediately rushed to the Government House Emergency Hospital by some passersby including journalists.
While she was undergoing critical medical treatment at the Government House Clinic, several phone calls were made by her sympathizers until the Director General of Uche Nwosu Campaign Organization, High Chief Chidi Ibeh, and his principal, Chief Nwosu arrived at the clinic and ordered that the victim should immediately be transferred to the Federal Medical Center, FMC, Owerri, for further medical attention.
Speaking to newsmen, Uche Nwosu described the incident as the handiwork of his political detractors but poured shame unto them.
Meanwhile, a very strong member of Imo APC Coalition Group, Chief Amanze Njoku, described the gunshot on the innocent young woman as a bad omen towards the governorship aspiration of Chief Nwosu.
Nze Amanze Njoku, while speaking alleged bad omen and stated that it is a sign of failure and error on Nwosu’s Guber’s bid.
He also alleged Nwosu political desperation for the next year polls.
“With this sign, Nwosu should go and rest. Maybe he is not ordained to Govern Imo State”, Chief Njoku submitted.
