The National Democratic Congress for Transparency has threatened to sue the Economic Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, over its inability to arrest and investigate the immediate past National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP Alhaji Ahmed Mu’azu over the allegations of diverting over 19.8bn when he was the Governor of Bauchi State.
Chairman of the Organisation Alhaji Bibi Dogo stated this today while addressing a press conference in Bauchi, He said “now we are heading to court to challenge the EFCC over their inability to perform their constitutional duty, so that the chairman of EFCC will come and explain why he refuse to arrest Mu’azu after they invited him and he refused to honour their invitation and many past Governor were invited and question by the agency, why Mu’azu was exceptional”
Dogo said they had written a reminder to the Federal Government, the Senate President, and the EFCC but they didn’t act on it, “this time around we are heading to court in the interest of Justice and fairness to all Nigerians, since EFCC is not a court of law they ‘cannot clear Mu’azu in secret”
On the recent resignation of Mu’azu Dogo who was a onetime Chairman of Bauchi State PDP elders committee said “it’s a good Development to the party, and now we want the remaining National Working Committee Executives and State Executives to resign so that new hands can take over to revive the party”
He said imposition of candidates to the people can no longer work in PDP they should allow people to choose the people they want to represent them.
