12 Political Parties To Participate In Nasarawa LGAs Poll

The Chairman of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission, Bar Ayuba Usman Wandai has revealed that twelve political parties would participate in the 2 November 2024 Local Government poll.

The Chairman of the State electoral umpire gave the hint during an interview with selected Journalists at Democracy House along Shendam Road Lafia.

According to him, As of yesterday, we have a list of nine political parties and today it rose to twelve political parties which he reeled out including the ruling All Progressives Congress, The APC, ZLP, Accord, Boot Party, AACP, SDP, PRP.

He however hinted that other political parties NRM, ADC, APP, and YPP will also participate in the 2 November 2024 Local Government poll.

The political parties are the Accord Party All Progressives Congress, Zenith Labour Party, Boot Party, AA CP, SDP, and PRP.NRM, YPP, ADC,

The headship of the State electoral umpire, Bar Ayuba Usman Wandai, When asked about the arrangement for logistics, Maintained that the Commission procured operational vehicles and will also hire some through the National Union of Road Transport Workers to block the gap 

While commenting on the recruitment of ad-hoc staff for the 2, November 2024 Local Government election, The Chairman confided the recruitment of ad-hoc staff would never be business as usual ether those willing to work should apply online for any opportunity.

Speaking on the deployment of security operatives to quell the situation if the need be, He said a sizeable number of security operatives would be deployed to maintain law and order. 

Calling on contestants, youth, and politicians in the State to conduct themselves before, during, and after the Local Government election.
