Zamfara To Build 147 Cottage Hospitals

Zamfara State Government has approved for the construction of 147 50-bed cottage hospitals in the state.

This was disclosed by Governor Bello Mohammed (Matawallen Maradun) when he paid Sallah homage to the Sarkin Qayan Maradun in his Palace immediately after the Eid prayer.

Matawalle, who was in his birthplace, Maradun, to observe the end of this year’s Ramadan fast told the Emir that all the 147 hospitals will be provided with a Tricycle ambulance each.

Matawalle said the decision to construct these hospitals and to provide the ambulances is to bring healthcare closer to the remote areas of the state and also serve as an avenue of networking health services in the state.

“The decision to work on this project is also to ensure that we fulfill our promises to the electorates that our administration will be people oriented and not self-serving”, Matawalle further explained.
