A youth group under the aegis of Concern Youths of Northern Plateau has called on Dara Francis Bot to contest for the Plateau north Senatorial seat come 2019.
In a statement jointly signed by conveners of the group Bar. Munir Barau and Chuwang Dungs, they begged Dara Francis to contest for the senatorial election, because he is the only reliable candidate of hope.
The statement which was issued to newsmen in Jos the Plateau state capital, said with Dara Francis in the Senate youths of the Zone were sure of empowerments based on his past deeds as Chief of staff to the immediate past administration in the state and considering his track record as an intelligent, humble, loyal, God fearing and experience public servant.
The group said Plateau youths recognize and appreciates such commitments as such he deserves recognition and reward and that was why they decided to call him to contest for the exalted position as a form of acknowledgement and to enable him bring development and empowerment to the people of Plateau state.
“We believed with Dara Francis Bot in the Senate he would make the people priorities his target.” The statement reads in part.
The youths urged all stakeholders to encourage and support the candidature of Bot to enable him bring his wealth of experience towards the development of the state.
Dara Francis Bot, a retired Permanent secretary, served as a director of protocol to some past military and civilian administrations in the state. He was a former coordinator of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) in the state before he was appointed chief of staff to the immediate past administration of Governor Jonah Jang, who is the incumbent Senator now eyeing the Presidential seat.
