Yankwashi local government area of Jigawa State has spent over N23 million on various projects executed by the council.
The chairman of the council Alhaji Mubarak Ahmed Achilafiya stated this while briefing the newsmen in Dutse Jigawa State Capital.
Achilafiya said his council has awarded the contract for the construction of the civil defense office at Gurjiya and Achilafiya village at the cost of N16 million.
The chairman added that the council has also spent N3, 250, 625, 35 million for the renovation of Yankwashi to Ruruma road, the road which is a 14km road will ease transportation problems in the area after renovation.
Furthermore, he said his council has also spent the sum of N3, 383,774.25 million for the renovation of the local government Secretariat.
He assured that he will continue with the execution of projects that will benefit the people in the area.
