The Manager Yakubu Gowon Airport, Haipang Mr. Ayinla Gbolahan has received encomium for his transformations of Yakubu Gowon, Heipang Airport with the recent renovation, rehabilitation of water tankers, including transportation and ambulance for the well being of staffs.
The staff performance in the last one year earned him the commendation for his positive contributions to the development of Plateau state and its environs with outstanding leadership quality.
This commendation was issued during the national retreat of members of the pen’s profession in Lagos after a one-week training of journalists on positive reporting of election and awareness campaign on fake news.
The online media practitioners congratulated the Airport Manager, Mr. Ayinla Gbolahan for his focus and leadership style whereby he has been carrying his staff along in the area of management and building confidence in them.
In a press statement signed by Yakubu Wuyep made available to journalists, he revealed that the state chapter after their careful analysis of the manager, expressed satisfaction with the way and manner he has effectively moved the Airport to the level that flights have resumed in Jos.
We members of the pens profession urge other federal government agencies operating in Plateau state to emulate the good gesture of assisting their host community.
Plateau indigenes have passed a vote of confidence on the leadership of Ayinla Gbolahan for putting the immediate host community into consideration in his developmental strides.
The completion of the runway light and improvement of other facilities to accommodate flights and the request to upgrade the Yakubu Gowon Airport an international airport was also one of the critical issues that were given emphasis, the statement explained.
