Xmas/Year New: Uzodinma Via NURTW Distributes Free Fuel Tickets To Over 35,000 Drivers In Imo

In his ceaseless efforts to ensure the satisfaction of Imo people and in the spirit of the 2022 New Year Celebration, the Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Imo State Chapter, Hon.Comr.Sam Udeh, (Ezeumuokobia) was on Thursday,

Jan.13th 2022, continued the distribution of free fuel tickets exercise to all the commercial drivers operating in the state.

The exercise which is second phase  commenced since last year Xmas till the New Year 2022 has recorded huge success.

Note that the exercise for the dispensation of the free fuel to drivers in Imo State was in fulfilment of one of the promises made by the Imo State Governor, Sen.Hope Uzodinma,  in last year, 2021, when he vowed to leverage commercial drivers.

That was as part of appreciating the drivers for maintaining decorum and sanity on the roads during and after the festive periods in Imo.

Fulfilling the promise made by Uzodinma to drivers, the Imo NURTW State, Udeh, union members moved to one of the designated service stations and

officially distributed the free fuel tickets to drivers.

At the park, Udeh advised the benefited drivers to go to the designated service stations assigned for the dispensation of 25 liters of fuel to each of the drivers.

The drivers were informed to visit Benuak filling station and Empire Energy filling station for the free gift of fuel courtesy of the Shared Prosperity Government.

Some of the benefited drivers who spoke to journalists, expressed satisfaction with the current leadership styles of Governor Uzodinma, even as they assured the govt.of the day of their maximum support now and during the 2023/2024 Guber Polls in Imo.

Meanwhile, the Imo NURTW State Chairman,Comr.Udeh, while addressing the drivers after the distribution of the free tickets, charged them to remain committed to the growth of the union and always support the govt.of 3R mantra led by Governor Uzodinma.

Adding his voice, the Imo NURTW Chief Security Consultant, Chief Vitalis Onugha, expressed satisfaction with the magnanimity of Governor Uzodinma to commuters in the state, even as he described the gesture as a welcome development.

In a similar development at Egbu/Naze Industrial Market Owerri, the Imo NURTW’s free fuel train moved into action and ably demonstrated the gesture from Governor Uzodinma to all the Road Workers operating in the area, as they collectively extolled the magnanimity of the Shared Prosperity Government.

They however promised to unalloyed support towards the growth of the state.

The Road Workers more so, applauded the Imo NURTW State Chairman, Udeh, for running a transparent govt.
