A High Court sitting in Lafia, the Nasarawa state capital has sentenced Amina Zubairu, wife to Late Gom Mama to death by hanging.
Justice Aisha sentenced Amina who was found guilty of killing her husband the then Gom Mama with poisonous substances in May 2014.
Universalreporters.ng learnt that the late monarch, Gom Mama met with his death at the eve of his wedding as his wife who has been remanded in Lafia Prison since May 2014 poisoned him to death.
The gory situation called for search of the residence of the late Gom Mama, where some poisonous substance suspected to be used in killing him was uncovered.
This lead to the arrest of Amina Zubairu his wife, her daughter and a driver for allegedly killing of the late monarch.
Amina Zubairu was subsequently charged to court on a one count charge bordering on culpable homicide.
Speaking shortly, after the Judgement, the prosecution counsel, Barrister, Jibrin Mohammed showered commendation to the Judge, Justice Aisha Bashir.
He added that the judgement will serves as a deterrent to others.
