Why We Endorsed Ayuku Pwaspo To Contest As NUJ Chairman – PRTVC Chapel

* NAWOJ, Plateau chapter endorses Ayuku

The executive and members of the Plateau State Radio and Television Corporation (PRTVC) made up of two chapels have given reasons why they endorsed Ayuku Pwaspo as their candidate for the position of Chairman in the council election slated for 8th September.

The Chapels confirmed their endorsement at the PRTVC Newsroom when they hosted the Ayuku Pwaspo Trust Campaign Council led by Lucy Chindaba

Comrade Joseph Langkwap who spoke on behalf of both chapels said, “The emergence of Ayuku Pwaspo was a resolution of a combined congress of the chapels.

“We unanimously endorse her because we know of his capacity, we know of her inputs as former Financial Secretary, Vice Chairman in the outgoing NUJ exco. And we are proud to bring her forth to contest for the position of Chairman this time.

“We hereby appeal to other chapels and entire members of the council to support her.

“I’m also pleased that our management has given us their approval to send her on this assignment”.

National PRO of RATAWU, Comrade Francis Izang in his goodwill message said, “The state chapter of RATAWU has also adopted the candidacy of Ayuku Pwaspo because we want to be part of the movement to have the first female NUJ Chairman in the state.

He pleaded with the state chapter of NAWOJ to take the opportunity and produce one of their own as state Chairman and make history in the Council.

Former zonal secretary (Zone 4) of Nawoj Tongnaan Bawa in her remarks said, “It is time for Nawoj to file behind one of their own for the exalted position in the state. “The time is now,” she said.

In his remarks and endorsement, the Director of news and current affairs and former Chairman of NUJ in Plateau state, Yakubu Taddy said, “I am a subject of the Congress and Ayuku is a product of a Congress, she is the candidate of management.

Taddy who received the Trust Campaign Council on behalf of Management added, “I will personally join the campaign team after official hour because I am personally committed to be part of the process to produce a female chairman for the State Council.

In the same vein, the state chapter of NAWOJ rose from their extraordinary on Wednesday with the endorsement of Ayuku Pwaspo.

The chapter in their Congress said they cannot afford to abandon one of their own given her pedigree and impact in the state council.
