Owing to the petition and complaints to the Governor led by a faction of the National Union Of Bauchi State Students (NUBASS) led by Comr. Musa Muh’d Jibrin.

In a petition titled: Petition/Complaint Against the S.A To The Governor Of Bauchi State On Students Matters stated that; “Given his Excellency’s widely avowed desire to promote education and the wellbeing of students and society at large, that the above named body being the apex students body in Bauchi state  encompassing students of Bauchi state extraction both at home and in the diaspora, wishes to formally present before you a 5 paragraph petition against the unruly and arrant conduct and abuse of office exhibited by your S.A on students matters Comrade Muhammad Abubakar Jibo.”

Writing further they petitioners said; “Pursuant to the aforesaid therefore, hereunder are the grounds upon which this petition is based for your due consideration and necessary action.

That the S.A whose official duties doesn’t transcend the boundaries of offering salient advice and rendering assistance to the Governor in relation to students matters, has abused same when he flagrantly interfered in the smooth running of the association activities by way of hijacking the powers of the EXCOS in piloting and overseeing the affairs of the union.

That the S.A in his desperate journey of wealth accumulations has resorted to defrauding the poor students of Bauchi state by selling application scratch cards which is originally meant to be free of charge to the over 50,000 students the state government is assisting.

That the S.A has also, conducted himself as an ambassador of the cankerworm that has eaten deep into the annals of this country i.e. “corruption”, this assertion is not an unfear accusation but a truth-laden occurrence which can be supported with evidence where the S.A took more than 40% of the money given to union as take-off grant in early November 2016 as a kick back.

That the S.A has sequel to the foregoing showcased wanton favoritism, complete nepotism, total ethnocentrism and tribalism in Toto by influencing moves to impeach our president Comr. Musa Muh’d Jibrin and subsequently replacing him with the deputy. It became utterly obvious that he is only but entrenching the above listed elements as the Deputy President doesn’t only hail from the same constituency as the S.A but also of the same tribal root. It is our contention that such glaring act of disparity if left unchecked is capable of sowing animosity and wreaking havoc amongst not only NUBASS but other student’s bodies as well.

That the S.A has placed himself in a vantage point by the role he played in promoting the cause of pervasive inequality which makes it visible to all and sundry that he’s incapable of handling his appointed office as he has taken an oath to and therefore unworthy in every sense of the terms.”

They listed following prayers;

“1. That the Governor will see wisdom in what we have listed above and subsequently investigate the matter with the view of taking necessary action.

2.That the governor shall as a matter of urgency consider suspending, sacking or even changing the portfolio of the S.A as the condition might warrant, as the S.A has already shows his incapacity to hold the office.

We finally, therefore appeal before you in honest believe of your sagacity and political acumen to take necessary action against the person of the S.A as you may deem fit so as to curb future occurrence and serve as deterrence to others who harbor such intents or even more denigrating ones for the country at large.
