The newly decorated superintendents of Police (SP) has been urged by Anambra State Police Commissioner, CP Echeng Echeng, to view their promotions as a call for greater works.
The advice was given on Wednesday by the State Commissioner of Police as he decorated 39 newly promoted officers from the ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to the ranks of SP in the command at the police headquarters, in the state of Awka Anambra.
Those promoted to the new ranks were found worthy of the next ranks by the Inspector General of Police and the Police Service Commission.“ according to CP Echeng.
Promotion comes from God just like the work that goes with the promotions. Every promotion goes with responsibility and the police will be watching you, at your various new postings. As you are decorated here today, you will experience postings.“
Your posting will take you to the position of a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) and other management levels. We are going to be watching you henceforth from what you are doing in your various new positions and postings,” he said.
He commended the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Alkali Baba, for considering them worthy of the new ranks.
According to Echeng, the IGP had always kept his promise of giving to any officer what is due to them in the police force.
He said that since the IGP came on board, he has always given promotions to worthy officers. Also, the CP urged the newly promoted officers to reciprocate the gesture
